Accelerate Institute Documentary Wins Top Honor in Communicator Awards

A Willing Participant picks up top Communicator Award for Accelerate Institute documentary

On the heels of our announcement on the 2019 Telly Awards, A Willing Participant, Inc. is pleased to share our video production work was recently recognized in this year's Communicator Awards as well.

The short-form education documentary "2018 Ryan Award Winner Jody Jones" won A Willing Participant the Award of Excellence—the top honor—at the 25th annual Communicator Awards. AWP collected a Bronze award for the work at this year's Telly Awards, as well as an additional Bronze for the video "Accelerating Student Achievement."

All video production was done on behalf of our Chicago-based client Accelerate Institute, which works to close the achievement gap in urban education.

The Jody Jones profile was just one of more than 6,000 entries in the Communicator Awards. The annual competition, judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, receives entries from advertising agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms.

Also taking home the Award of Excellence this year were familiar names like Cushman & Wakefield, Forbes Media and Hilton.
